Described as a "true, natural musician" (Jonathan L, Lopsided World of L) and a self-proclaimed "perennial outsider and underdog", Gozer Goodspeed is an independent artist in every sense of the phrase, intent on carving out his own niche in the music world. Playing a potent cocktail of blues-folk-rock music - which also seamlessly blends in elements of melodic indie, funk, and psychedelia - Goodspeed is a songwriting force to be reckoned with, doing exactly what comes most naturally, making music that is entirely his own.

Emerging onto the Plymouth music scene in early 2016, Gozer has since become a permanent fixture on the Westcountry live circuit in the UK, developing an ever-growing reputation for his energetic and impassioned solo shows, which utilise live-looping to make maximum use of his unique guitar skills. Never happier than when he’s onstage, Gozer is now a firm favourite with gig-goers and music lovers across Devon and Cornwall, and has rapidly become a regular feature on the regional festival circuit too, routinely playing solo on main stages on bills otherwise reserved for full bands.

As much as he loves the stage, Gozer is equally at home in the studio, and his recorded output has reflected his ongoing desire to evolve and develop. Lauded early on by the likes of BBC Introducing for his 2016 debut acoustic EP 'Rattlebone Colour', Gozer went on to record two further mostly acoustic EPs with ace producer Josiah J. Manning (recently acclaimed for his work with the Kris Barras Band) - 2017’s 'The Barrel Headlong into the Night EP' and 2018's EP ‘Impossible to Pick Up’. These EPs were packed full of strong songs that had been honed on the stage in front of live audiences, and ably demonstrated Gozer's desire to adapt his sound and push his boundaries at every turn.

Late 2019 saw the release of Gozer's widely acclaimed debut album, 'Running with the Outliers'. Working with prodigiously talented producer Chris Love at the newly-built Whistlewood Studios in Plymouth, Gozer crafted a record that Kevin Burke of The Big Takeover magazine called "an album of gravel-soaked grace". Songs from the album have been played on radio shows by tastemakers from around the globe, and have featured in several high-profile places, such as FATEA magazine's quarterly download of recommended listening.

2020 was a difficult year for everyone, but Gozer came out of lockdown swinging in early 2021 with 'Rebuilt and Remade', a stripped-back, wholly acoustic EP of five songs recorded in his newly-rigged home studio that music reviewer Listen with Monger described as "100% excellent listening". (The title track was nominated for FATEA's Song of the Year 2021.)

April 2021 saw Gozer sign to Brighton-based independent label Lights and Lines, and Gozer's first official release on the label soon followed. 'Ghosts of the Future & Past', a retrospective album collecting remastered versions of many of his previous songs together with various previously unavailable tracks, was released to rave reviews in July 2021, with James R. Turner from Spirit of Progressive Rock declaring Gozer "a unique talent".

Currently working on brand new material and now frequently playing with his full live band, Gozer Goodspeed & The Neon Gamblers - comprising Bill Birks on bass and Charlie Bishop on drums - Gozer has some very exciting live shows scheduled for spring and summer of 2022, including plans to tour across the UK.
